Primarily, voters need to know that Tim Grayson will stand up for public safety. Then, they need to know about his efforts to advance economic opportunity.

Public Safety

Tim Grayson is a former police chaplain who, with his son, physically detained two robbers trying to steal $18,000 worth of merchandise in Petaluma last year. He believes that everyone deserves to feel safe in their community, which is why he:

  • Has voted consistently to crack down on fentanyl trafficking, gun violence, and retail theft.

  • Founded a nonprofit that helps victims of domestic violence and human trafficking and wrote a law making it tougher for sexual predators to avoid justice.

  • Supported improved training for police officers and mental health services for firefighters.

  • Is backing an effort to fix loopholes and keep violent criminals and drug traffickers in prison where they belong.

That’s why Tim Grayson is endorsed by local law enforcement, first responders, and firefighters.

Jobs and the Economy

Tim Grayson will continue to work for better jobs and more economic opportunity for our community. It costs way too much to live and work in California, and the jobs available are not keeping up with rising inflation and taxes. We need to stand up for better pay, fight rising education costs and support our small businesses that are driving new job creation across our state.

In the Assembly, Tim passed a law restricting the payday loan industry from creating debt traps for those struggling financially, increased funding for small businesses without raising taxes, created a sales tax exemption for manufacturing equipment purchases, and led the effort to make the state more fiscally responsible. He also passed a bill to ensure that out-of-state University of California students, who pay more in tuition, were not being given admission priority over equally-qualified in-state students.
